Major fire near the village of Skrebatno extinguished with the help of rain

Fire contained near Skrebatno

The hard work of firefighters, forestry workers, and volunteers, combined with timely assistance from nature, led to the successful extinguishing of the fire in the area of the village of Skrebatno, Gotse Delchev municipality.

Thanks to the joint efforts of all teams and the rain that fell in the area, significant damage was prevented.

Participants in the extinguishing efforts:

• Three teams from the Gotse Delchev fire department;
• 30 employees of the Garmen forestry unit;
• 20 volunteers from the village of Skrebatno;
• A volunteer unit from the village of Gorna Dryanovo with a specialized vehicle.

The report about the fire was received around 1:00 PM. At the moment, the causes of the fire are still under investigation.
