The large-scale fire in the Sliven region has been brought under control
The major fire that broke out between the Sliven villages of Gradets and Medven has been localized. The fire covered an area of about 2,000 decares, consisting mainly of dry grass and bushes.
A Cougar military helicopter was involved in extinguishing the fire, assisting ground crews from the air.
At this moment, military personnel, firefighters, and forestry workers continue to work on the ground. The teams are patrolling the entire perimeter to extinguish smoldering stumps and individual hot spots in order to prevent reignition.
Investigation of the causes
