International Cooperation and New Capabilities at Novo Selo Training Area
The tactical-special exercise "Beyond Horizon 26" is taking place at the Novo Selo Training Area until May 21. Military police officers from 12 countries, including Bulgaria, the USA, Canada, Italy, and other NATO partners, are participating in the event.
"We have demonstrated excellent cooperation with 12 nations – our NATO partners," stated Colonel Hristiyan Hristov, acting Director of the Military Police Service.
Key demonstrations during the exercise:
- Crowd Control: Actions to manage mass disturbances.
- Specialized Operations: Fast-rope deployment from a helicopter.
- Tactical Evacuation: Rescuing the wounded and providing medical aid in field conditions.
- Investigative Activities: Investigation of incidents involving explosive materials and evidence collection.
This year, the focus of the exercise is on upgrading capabilities for reconnaissance operations, building clearing, and the effective use of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). The exercise serves as a platform for sharing experience between the military police of member states and Alliance partners, ensuring better interoperability.
