An ecological and agricultural risk threatens the Sungurlare region due to a large-scale fire, which is currently partially contained by rescue services. Official representatives of the municipal administration reported on the critical situation, emphasizing that there is no immediate danger to strategic facilities.

The large-scale rescue operation includes six fire teams, supported by volunteer formations. A key point in extinguishing the fire are two helicopters, with additional air resources from Sweden expected to arrive, which will perform water scooping from the Kamchiya dam.

The damages are significant - extensive forest areas, agricultural lands, and vineyard plantations have been affected, which represents a serious economic blow to the local region. Despite the scale of the disaster, authorities guarantee that no people have been injured and that the property of populated areas is under protection.

The crisis headquarters is at maximum readiness, coordinating the actions of municipal, regional, and state institutions. Full mobilization of available resources aims to control the fire as quickly as possible and prevent further spread.

At the moment, the situation is under control, with specialized teams continuing to work to completely extinguish the fire and minimize damages.
