STARA ZAGORA. The Road Infrastructure Agency ("Пътна инфраструктура") (API) has announced an upcoming change in the traffic organization on the "Trakia" motorway in the region of Stara Zagora. Starting tomorrow, September 11, and lasting until September 17, drivers should be prepared for temporary traffic restrictions that will be implemented to ensure the safety of the road. The reason for the disruptions is the planned removal of roadside vegetation.
The activities will be carried out in stages on the section between the 156th and 208th kilometer of the motorway. The work will take place daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The passing and emergency lanes will be affected by the partial restrictions, and the work will be carried out in both directions of traffic. Due to the scale of the operation, traffic will be temporarily redirected, with vehicles moving in the lane where no work is being done.
API has urged all drivers to exercise extreme caution and responsibility while traveling in this section. The agency emphasizes that following traffic rules and speed limits is crucial for preventing accidents. In its official announcement, the institution appeals to drivers to avoid risky overtakes that could endanger not only their safety but also that of all other road users.
To ensure maximum information for travelers, the "Road Infrastructure" agency announced that up-to-date information on road conditions can be found on the agency's official website, www.api.bg. Additionally, citizens and transport companies can get information at any time of day by calling 0700 130 20.
On site, the road sections where construction and repair work is being carried out will be marked with the appropriate road signs and markings, signaling the need for increased caution and a reduction in speed.
