National report reveals the extensive activity of firefighters with 196 signals, 35 rescue operations, and material damages from 26 incidents.

The National Fire Safety System reported an intensive 24-hour period with extinguishing 150 fires across the country, official sources from the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" reported.

Among the registered incidents, two cases stand out involving elderly citizens injured under different circumstances. In the village of Startsevo, Smolyan region, a 68-year-old married couple sustained minor burns after a fire broke out in a production building, caused by a short circuit.

In parallel, in Silistra, a 72-year-old man was affected with first-degree burns on his hands after an incident with a gas cylinder, which occurred at noon.

Statistics show that direct material damage was caused in 26 of the total registered incidents. Firefighting teams responded to 196 alerts, carried out 35 rescue and assistance operations, while simultaneously identifying 11 false calls.
