A dramatic railway incident shook another section of the national transport network today, when a freight train suffered a serious accident with multiple derailed tank cars.
According to initial information provided by the press center of the Ministry of Interior (MVI), the incident is localized in the interurban space between the cities of Stara Zagora and Haskovo.
Fire service teams have been immediately mobilized and are already present at the scene of the accident, taking the necessary measures to control the critical situation.
Official representatives of the MVI emphasized that at the moment they cannot provide precise information about the number of burning tank cars. Despite the severity of the accident, the institution assures that there is no immediate threat to nearby settlements.
Investigation of the incident's causes is pending, with initial indications pointing to possible technical problems or human error during the train's movement.
Additional emergency service teams are ready to support the initial rescue activities and prevent potential further complications.
