Mandatory truck scale at Port of Burgas
"Port of Burgas" EAD has introduced strict control measures for cargo vehicles leaving the port area. Every vehicle is now required to pass through a scale to determine its total weight.
The measure was introduced by order of the Minister of Transport in order to improve road safety.
What happens in case of overloading?
- If the weight exceeds the standards, a weight certificate is not issued.
- The truck is not allowed to leave the port.
- The driver is obliged to unload or redistribute the cargo.
- After correction, the vehicle passes through the scale again.
Only after the weight is within the regulatory requirements is the dispatch authorized. Loading staff have been instructed to strictly follow the new control procedure.
