Fire department activity in the country
Over the past 24 hours, the structures of the "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" have been extremely busy, responding to a total of 317 incident reports. 88 fires were extinguished, and 10 false alarms were recorded.
A fire broke out overnight in the area of the former "Himik" plant near Asenovgrad, with 50 firefighters and 18 specialized vehicles participating in the extinguishing efforts.
Incident statistics
- Fires with material damage (15): 5 in residential buildings, 5 in makeshift structures, 2 in vehicles, 1 in a forest, and 1 in an open area.
- Fires without damage (73): Mainly burning of dry grass (47), waste (22), and stubble (2).
Rescue activities and technical assistance
The Ministry of Interior teams carried out 219 rescue operations, including:
- 6 operations during traffic accidents;
- 2 instances of industrial accident response;
- 209 cases of technical assistance, including removal of hazardous objects and water drainage.
