Intensive work by fire crews in Bulgaria
Over the past 24 hours, the teams of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" (GDFSCP) have gone through an extremely busy schedule. The weather conditions in the country have triggered a series of incidents, with 210 reports being handled solely due to them.
The total number of reports of incidents during the day was 235, with the firefighters' efforts focused on containing 116 fires.
Incident statistics:
- Fires with material damage: 24 (of which 11 in residential buildings).
- Fires without material damage: 92.
- Rescue activities: 113 operations, including 7 involving road traffic accidents.
The good news is that there were no fatalities or injuries in any of the incidents. Fire safety services remain on standby to respond to any deterioration in weather conditions.
