Firefighting team activity over the last 24 hours

A total of 112 fires were extinguished in the country over the past 24 hours, according to the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" at the Ministry of Interior. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, information confirms that there were no injuries in the incidents.

Firefighting units responded to a total of 353 emergency calls, including rescue operations and technical assistance.

The incident with the train composition near Montana

One of the serious incidents was recorded yesterday at 11:49 a.m. near Murchevo station, Boychinovtsi municipality. A diesel locomotive from a freight train caught fire.

The fire was brought under control by teams from the Regional Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection – Montana, and a specialized drone was used to inspect the train, which was approximately 500 meters long. The train included two electric locomotives, the burning diesel one, and 28 empty freight wagons.
