As of March 20th, 105 reports of violations related to the upcoming elections have been received, with 43 pre-trial proceedings initiated, announced Vanya Nusheva, advisor to the caretaker Prime Minister on election issues. The Ministry of Interior Affairs (MIA) is committed to taking action against violations of voters' political rights, she emphasized.

An increase in reports and pre-trial proceedings has been noted. Nusheva stressed that the high number of reports is an indication of increased trust in the MIA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to establish a dialogue with Bulgarian communities abroad to open polling stations, taking into account the restrictions in the Election Code for stations outside the EU. Seven polling stations will be opened in London, and the number of applications to vote abroad has risen to 44,000.

The Ministry of Electronic Governance and the Central Election Commission (CEC) have drawn the machine numbers to check their correctness. An updated methodology for verifying the machines' compliance has been developed.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the Civil Registration and Administrative Services (GRAO) are checking the electoral lists and working in coordination with the regional governors. The regional governors are responsible for logistics.

Supplies of voting screens are being provided in all polling stations, with the aim of preventing practices of pressure and control over voters.
