On June 28, during a routine border check, customs officers conducted an extremely precise inspection of a light commercial vehicle arriving from Germany. The vehicle was driven by Bulgarian citizens - a man and a woman, who were passing through the Kalotina border checkpoint.

During the thorough inspection, the inspectors discovered a series of hidden items. A gas pistol loaded with four cartridges was seized from under the driver's seat. Additionally, multiple jewelry items made of precious metal were found under the passenger seat and in the companion's bag.

Precise measurement established a total of 317 grams of gold jewelry, including diverse items: twelve bracelets with individual weights between 2.5 and 12 grams, three necklaces, one chain, three earring sets, and six rings.

Due to the lack of declaration for the transported goods and valuables, official administrative violation records were drawn up for both passengers. The discovered items - the gas pistol and gold products - were immediately confiscated by customs authorities.
