Over the next 24 hours, the meteorological picture over the country will be dynamic, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The cloud cover will be broken, remaining mainly significant over the southern regions. It is there, in some places, that light rain is expected. In the north of the country, on the contrary, a decrease in cloud cover will be observed during the night, which will lead to clear weather. Sunny weather is expected during the day.
Atmospheric pressure, according to forecasts, will be lower than the monthly average and will continue to decrease.
In the morning hours, in some places, mainly in the lowlands, fog or low cloud cover is expected to form. The wind will be weak, but during the day in Eastern Bulgaria and north of the mountains it will be felt as moderate, with a south-southwesterly direction. Temperatures will continue to rise. Minimum values will be between 6 and 11 degrees, reaching between 13 and 16 degrees along the Black Sea coast. Maximum temperatures will range between 18 and 23 degrees. In Sofia, the minimum temperature will be around 7 degrees, and the maximum – around 20 degrees.
The atmosphere will change overnight to Friday, when cloud cover from the west will begin to rapidly increase and thicken.
Broken cloud cover will be observed over the Black Sea coast. Over the southern coast, the cloud cover will be mainly significant, where light rain will fall in isolated places. The wind will be moderate, with a south-southwesterly direction. Maximum temperatures will be between 19 and 22 degrees. The sea water temperature will be between 17 and 19 degrees, and the sea swell – 2-3 Beaufort.
Broken cloud cover is also expected over the mountains. Over the massifs of Southern Bulgaria, it will be mainly significant, where there will be light showers in some places. The wind will be moderate, and temporarily strong, with a south-southwesterly direction. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 14 degrees, and at 2000 meters – around 8 degrees.
The forecasts for Friday predict more frequent significant cloud cover and rain, which will start from the west and gradually move east. The wind will be windy, moderate and strong. It will gradually change its direction from southwest to west-northwest. Minimum temperatures will be high, between 9 and 14 degrees. Maximum temperatures will vary from 16-17 degrees in the northwestern regions to 24-25 degrees in the southeastern.
On Saturday, variable cloud cover is expected, and in the afternoon in places in Northwestern Bulgaria, there will be rain again. The wind will weaken. Despite the expected drop in temperatures by 4-5 degrees, it will remain warm for the period.
