According to the data from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, June 30 will offer typical summer weather across the country – mostly sunny, with high daytime temperatures and a low probability of precipitation. The wind will be moderate, picking up in open areas, while conditions for the beach along the Black Sea coast will be favorable, with warm sea water and a good UV index during the midday hours.

Burgas and Burgas region

In Burgas and the region, the day will be sunny, with few clouds and a feeling of the true beginning of the sea season. The maximum air temperature will reach about 29–30°C, and the minimum morning temperature – about 21°C. The probability of precipitation is low – about 0–5%, with no thunderstorms expected during the day.

The sea water in the Burgas Bay will be pleasantly warm – about 22–23°C, with the sea state remaining slight in the sheltered bay. The wind near the coast will be moderate, at a speed of about 8–10 m/s, most often from the northeast to east, providing a refreshing sea breeze in the afternoon hours.

Preliminary assessment for swimming safety: under these conditions, at the central beach in Burgas and neighboring beaches, a green flag can be expected – suitable for swimming, with attention to the strong UV index around noon.

Sofia and Sofia region

In the capital and surrounding areas, June 30 will be a mostly sunny day with variable but insignificant cloudiness. Maximum temperatures in Sofia will be around 27–29°C, and minimums – around 17–19°C. The probability of precipitation during the day remains low – up to 10%, with a small chance of a short, local rain in the late afternoon along the mountain slopes.

The wind in the Sofia field will be light to moderate, mainly from the west-northwest, with speeds of 3–6 m/s. There is no sea water in the region, but conditions for walking and outdoor activities are good, with increased attention to the sun during the midday hours.

Eastern and Western Bulgaria

In Western Bulgaria, the weather will be sunny to mostly sunny, with daytime temperatures between 27 and 31°C, lower in the high fields and slightly higher in the lowlands. The probability of precipitation is low, up to about 10–15%, with isolated short-lived showers in the mountains in the afternoon.

In Eastern Bulgaria – Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Sliven, Yambol, Shumen – maximum temperatures between 29 and 33°C are expected, with more sunny hours and a light to moderate wind. The probability of precipitation is about 5–10%, mainly in the late afternoon hours and in isolated places.

The wind in the lowland areas will be mostly moderate – 4–8 m/s, intensifying in open fields. Conditions in rivers and reservoirs are suitable for walks, but when swimming, it is important to follow local instructions and avoid swimming alone in unguarded areas. Assessment for swimming safety in rivers and reservoirs: yellow flag – possible with increased caution and only in guarded places.

The Mountains

In the mountainous regions, the weather on June 30 will be mostly sunny, with typical afternoon cumulus clouds. In the high parts of the Rila, Pirin, and Stara Planina mountains, maximum temperatures will be around 18–22°C, and in the lower mountain areas – 22–25°C. The probability of short showers with thunderstorms in the afternoon is moderate – in the range of 20–30%, especially around ridges and peaks.

The wind along the ridges will be moderate to strong – 8–12 m/s, and it may feel stronger in open areas. Conditions for swimming in mountain lakes are not recommended – the water remains cold, and the places are unguarded. Recommended assessment: red flag – swimming is not recommended.

Black Sea Coast

Along the Black Sea coast – from Durankulak to Rezovo – June 30 will be a sunny summer day, with few clouds and high daytime temperatures. On the northern coast (Varna, Golden Sands, Balchik) maximum temperatures will be around 28–30°C, and on the southern coast (Sunny Beach, Sozopol, Burgas, Tsarevo) – around 29–31°C.

The probability of precipitation along the coast is very low – up to 5%, without significant thunderstorms. The sea water along the coast will be comfortable for swimming, with an average temperature of about 21–23°C, while in bays and more sheltered beaches (Burgas Bay, Sozopol, Nessebar) it may reach 23–24°C.

The wind along the coast will be light to moderate – 5–9 m/s, mainly from eastern and northeastern directions, with slight sea agitation. Swimming conditions on guarded beaches are assessed as good, with a green flag in most areas, provided lifeguards' instructions are followed and there is protection from the strong sun.

In summary, June 30 will offer stable summer weather across the country – sunny, hot, and suitable for the beach, mountain walks, and outdoor activities. The most important thing for people along the Black Sea and in the cities remains to protect themselves from the high UV index during the midday hours and to follow the instructions for safe swimming.
