The average interest rate on consumer loans in leva in September remains stable, according to data from the regular monthly report on interest rate statistics of the BNB. It maintains its level of 9.05 percent, reflecting a trend of stabilization of conditions for these loans. The annual percentage rate of charge, an indicator of the total cost of the loan, however, shows a slight decrease - by 0.02 percentage points, reaching 9.40 percent.
The situation with housing loans in leva is different. Both the average interest rate and the annual percentage rate of charge show an increase. The average interest rate increases by 0.03 percentage points, reaching 2.47 percent, and the annual percentage rate of charge also increases by 0.03 percentage points, reaching 2.82 percent. This increase may reflect changes in the conditions for financing properties, as well as the more general trend in the market.
Other types of loans in leva also show changes. The average interest rate on other loans increases by 0.18 percentage points, reaching 4.23 percent. Loans granted to employers and self-employed persons also show an increase - by 0.13 percentage points, reaching 4.19 percent. Consumers using overdrafts in leva should note an increase in the interest rate by 0.03 percentage points to 13.73 percent. Interest rates on credit cards outside the interest-free grace period show a significant increase - by 0.13 percentage points, reaching 21.30 percent.
Regarding business lending, the data from September show a mixed picture. The average interest rate on loans up to 1 million euros, agreed in leva, decreases by 0.06 percentage points to 4 percent, which may be a signal for easing conditions for smaller enterprises. Loans over 1 million euros, however, show an increase in the interest rate to 4.20 percent.
For loans in euros, the picture is also diverse. The average interest rate on loans up to 1 million euros decreases by 0.12 percentage points to 3.99 percent, while those over 1 million euros show an increase - by 0.14 percentage points, reaching 4.27 percent. Overdrafts in leva show a decrease of 0.04 percentage points to 3.32 percent, while in euros - an increase of 0.03 percentage points to 3.65 percent.
Trends in deposits are also significant for the overall financial picture. For household deposits with agreed maturity in leva, the average interest rate increases by 0.02 percentage points to 0.81 percent, which can be seen as a signal of improved conditions for saving. Deposits in euros show a more significant increase - by 0.21 percentage points to 1.31 percent. Overnight deposits in leva and euros remain at a low level of 0.01 percent.
Deposits agreed for use after notice in leva show an increase in the interest rate by 0.03 percentage points to 0.27 percent, while those in euros decrease by 0.01 percentage points to 0.15 percent.
For business deposits, the average interest rate on deposits with agreed maturity in leva decreases by 0.25 percentage points to 1.14 percent, while deposits in euros show an increase of 0.21 percentage points to 1.66 percent. Overnight deposits in leva show an increase of 0.01 percentage points to 0.05 percent, while those in euros remain unchanged at a level of 0.15 percent.
