The chairman of DKSBT, Vladimir Ivanov, reported variations in wholesale prices for basic food products. The consumer basket has returned to 100 leva. Both price increases and decreases have been recorded, with the market remaining within normal limits.

The consumer basket decreased by 1 lev last week and returned to 100 leva, reported the chairman of the DKSTB, Vladimir Ivanov. There is no clearly defined trend of decrease or increase in the prices of basic food products. According to Ivanov, the market fluctuations are due to seasonal factors and the unusually warm weather.

Ivanov emphasized that there are no unusual influences on the market, except for seasonal factors. He also dismissed speculations about a rise in the consumer basket due to Bulgaria's membership in the Eurozone.
