The International Entrepreneurial Exchange Program "Erasmus" once again demonstrated its effectiveness by connecting two creative leaders from different countries - Kaan Sancaktar from Turkey and Dimo Slavchev from Bulgaria. Their collaboration focused on developing folk educational practices and sharing professional experience in the fields of dance and musical arts.
Kaan, a young entrepreneur who recently founded his own folk arts school, chose Bulgaria as a destination for his professional growth. For three and a half months, he worked shoulder to shoulder with Dimo Slavchev - an established leader of a dance center in Sofia.
Their partnership encompassed multiple joint activities, including rehearsal planning, organizing seminars, and developing strategies for attracting and retaining dance ensembles. The two experts aimed not just to transfer knowledge, but to create an inclusive environment for cultural development.
The workshops they conducted were targeted at different age groups and dance skill levels. From beginners to advanced dancers, participants had the opportunity to learn techniques related to regional dance styles, with special attention paid to movement technique, correct posture, and cultural context.
The innovative approach of the two entrepreneurs included not only dance but also musical sessions. They organized playing lessons focused on folk repertoire, rhythmic coordination, and dynamic performance, which further enriched the educational program.
Among the key achievements of their collaboration was the creation of informal spaces for cultural exchange. Through organized events, they managed to bring together musical and dance communities, encouraging interaction and improvisation.
Dimo Slavchev shared his positive assessment of the partnership: "Kaan brought new diversity to our activities and helped us rethink existing initiatives. His ideas created a more holistic approach to our program."
For his part, Kaan emphasized the significance of the practical experience gained: "The program provided me with a unique opportunity to learn how to manage rehearsals, seminars, and events from an experienced professional."
This successful exchange demonstrates how cultural differences can become a bridge for mutual understanding and professional development.
