Students from the Primary School "St. Kliment Ohridski", dressed as kukeri (Bulgarian costumed men), called for health and prosperity in "Atanas Sirekov" square. In a short time, the young kukeri collected the applause of the citizens of Burgas who were passing by.
Among the participants were students from different classes of the school "St. Kliment Ohridski", who had entered traditional roles for the folk custom.
After the end of the traditional Bulgarian custom, the young people received gifts from the Deputy Mayor for Education, Mihail Nenov, and the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Burgas, Mihail Hadzhiyanev.
The performances of the kukeri are associated with the time around the winter-spring holiday in the Bulgarian folk calendar Sirni Zagovezni and the beginning of Great Lent before the Resurrection of Christ.
