The Main Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" (FSPP) confirms the phased control of the critical fire situation in the country. Director Alexander Jartov presented a detailed report on the current state of rescue operations, emphasizing key aspects of the actions taken.
According to the official statement of the experts, the evacuated residents of Ploski village will be returned to their homes immediately after guaranteeing their full security. Today was marked by variable meteorological conditions - strong winds that created additional challenges in extinguishing the fires.
Rescue operations included extensive air participation - six helicopters and two planes successfully controlled the spread of fires. FSPP specialists emphasized that they have taken preventive measures, including creating protective firebreaks and conducting thorough checks around threatened settlements.
A key moment in the briefing was the categorical statement that at present there are no lost positions and no immediate threat to populated areas. Special attention was paid to Lilyanova village, for which experts guaranteed full security.
The professional assessment of the chief commissioner indicates peak burning in the eastern direction, with the exact affected area still being determined due to the presence of smoke in the area. Teams are working extremely intensively - already the 30th day under extremely risky conditions.
As an extremely important aspect, Jartov emphasized that all necessary resources have been mobilized and at the moment no additional volunteers are needed. National statistics report about 100 fires, with the situation being described as relatively controlled.
