The balance for the past 24 hours
Over the last 24 hours, the teams of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP) at the Ministry of Interior have responded to a total of 81 incident reports. As of 06:00 a.m., data shows that 56 fires have been extinguished, and fortunately, there are no fatalities or injured citizens.
It is important to note that despite the large number of incidents, the timely response of the firefighters prevented any human casualties.
Distribution of fires:
- With direct material damage: 16 fires, including 4 in residential buildings, 1 in makeshift structures, and 4 in vehicles.
- Without material damage: 40 fires that were contained in time.
Rescue activities and technical assistance
In addition to extinguishing fires, the Fire Safety and Civil Protection units carried out 23 rescue and assistance operations:
- 2 responses to road traffic accidents (crashes);
- 21 technical assistance operations, including the removal of dangerous objects and providing assistance to citizens and other institutions.
The fire department also reported that 2 false calls were registered, which burdened the teams unnecessarily.
