Assessment by the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection
Over the past 24 hours, the teams of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection (GDFSCP) have gone through an intensive work cycle, responding to a total of 106 incident reports across the country.
Fortunately, no fatalities or injuries were recorded during the extinguishing of the fires.
Fire Statistics
Out of a total of 46 extinguished fires, the situation is distributed as follows:
- With direct material damage: 15 fires (5 in residential buildings, 1 in an industrial building, 6 in vehicles, and 3 others).
- Without material damage: 31 fires, involving the burning of dry grass, forest litter, bushes, and waste.
Rescue Operations
In addition to firefighting, the teams conducted 56 rescue activities and assistance operations. Among them, the focus was on:
- Six operations involving traffic accidents.
- One specialized operation regarding a mercury incident.
The directorate notes that four false calls were also received, which further strained the resources of the services.
