The prolonged battle with the fire element in Sungurlare region reaches a critical phase. Fire services from Burgas, Karnobat, and Tsarevo have mobilized nine specialized teams, supported by air support with a helicopter from Novo Selo.

According to an official statement from the municipal press center, four active fire centers have been localized in the territories of the villages of Beronovo, Slavyantsi, and Skala. Local agricultural producers play a key role in the operation, providing specialized equipment and water supply.

Imminent arrival of additional air and ground resources is expected - including a "Cougar" type helicopter, two Swedish planes, and two bulldozers that will help create preventive firebreaks.

Authorities guarantee that there is currently no immediate threat to the local population. However, the mayor has maintained the state of emergency order until the complete extinguishing of the fire.

The operation is led by Senior Commissioner Nikolay Nikolaev from the Regional Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" in Burgas and Regional Governor Vladimir Krumov.

Experts warn of a potential risk of uncontrolled spread if the wind direction changes. Currently, the damages and the exact burned area cannot be precisely determined.

As a preventive measure, the elderly people evacuated yesterday from the home for people with disabilities in Slavyantsi village will not be returned to the building today until their complete safety is guaranteed.
