Police officers from different district departments in Burgas region registered a series of significant criminal acts and incidents over the past day. A total of five police proceedings were initiated and 19 crimes were uncovered, outlining the scale of the criminal situation in the region.
In Aytos, a theft case was resolved, where a 55-year-old local resident returned a stolen wallet to his 34-year-old fellow citizen. The illegally seized wallet contained personal documents and a cash sum of 1,300 leva, which were recovered without any losses.
A dramatic turn occurred in Pomorie, where a 63-year-old citizen managed to detain a 16-year-old youth who participated in the theft of a Toyota Yaris car. The crime was committed in cooperation with another minor, and the car was taken from Prof. Stoyanov Street.
Officers from the Primorsko District Department conducted a check on a 20-year-old man from Ruse in the resort town of Kiten, during which they seized 14 grams of marijuana. The detention was followed by the initiation of a rapid proceeding.
A series of narcotic substances were discovered during a police operation in Sunny Beach. During a check of a 24-year-old criminally active man from Kazanlak, 15 grams of cannabis, 20 ecstasy tablets, and 5 grams of cocaine were seized.
Another incident was registered when officers stopped a 38-year-old driver from the village of Shishmantsi, driving a Mercedes GLK 320 with an alcohol concentration of 1.40 per mille. The driver was detained, and the vehicle was seized.
Two traffic accidents attracted the attention of police authorities. At an intersection in Aytos, a car hit a 71-year-old pedestrian, who was transported to the hospital with fractures to both knees.
Another serious accident occurred on the road between Primorsko and Sozopol, where a Seat Altea entered the oncoming lane and caused a chain collision with two other vehicles. The driver and two children were examined and released for home treatment with various injuries.
Two fires were also registered. In Burgas, an Audi A3 car parked in a cooperative yard burned down, with no evidence of arson. In Aytos, a fire in dry grass and bushes broke out, covering approximately 650 decares of vegetation and was extinguished with extensive rescue efforts.
Investigations into all incidents continue, with police officers working hard to clarify the circumstances and potentially prevent them in the future.
