Nessebar and Sveti Vlas will hold blood drives this week: in Nessebar on Wednesday, 28 October, and in Sveti Vlas on Thursday, 29 October. Donors will be taken on both days from 9am to 1pm. Nessebar municipality said the Regional Centre for Transfusion Haematology in Burgas is running the drives.
The Nessebar date was announced on Tuesday, 20 October. Sveti Vlas has now been added.
How it all started: Blood donation drive in Nessebar on 28 October at the Health House
In Nessebar, donors should go to the Health House. In Sveti Vlas, the point is at the Culture House. Both drives run under the motto "Together we can save lives".
The municipality invites residents who meet the medical requirements for blood donors to come. The blood goes to patients who need urgent or life-saving treatment, and one donation can help more than one person.
The municipality says giving blood is one of the most valuable acts of humanity and compassion. A voluntary donation can give someone a chance at life, and every donor makes a real difference.
"Give blood. Give hope. Save a life!" the municipality says.
