Basketball club "Champion 2006" took a strategic step in the development of its coaching program by appointing Kostadin Kostov as the new head of the sports school. The experienced 35-year-old specialist will be responsible for the men's division and youth teams.

The club's official statement emphasizes that Kostov's appointment is part of the long-term vision for reviving team sports activities. A key focus of the new coaching strategy is the resumption of participation in age groups and the building of a representative men's team for the Bulgarian Basketball League (BBL).

Before his current appointment, Kostadin Kostov held the position of head coach for Slavia during the past 2023/2024 season. His professional experience includes working with different age groups - specifically the selections for 19 and 16-year-old athletes.
