Severe road accidents: Ministry of Interior with current data

The past 24 hours have proven tragic on Bulgarian roads. According to data from the Ministry of Interior, 18 accidents were registered in the country, in which one person died and 18 were injured.

The statistics for the beginning of the year show a worrying trend toward an increase in fatal cases compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the month until now, the number of deaths has reached 13, and there are 293 injured in 227 accidents. On the scale of the entire year 2025, the data is even more alarming:

A comparative analysis shows that for the same period last year, there were 159 victims. This means that this year, there are 25 more road fatalities, which puts the issue of road safety on the agenda.
