Serious road accidents in Bulgaria
The grim road statistics continue to rise. According to data from the Ministry of the Interior, 19 serious accidents were registered over the past 24 hours, in which two people lost their lives and 20 others were injured.
Since the beginning of the year, the road death toll has already reached 138, with a total of 1,804 serious accidents.
Road condition data:
- 24-hour period: 2 dead, 20 injured in 19 accidents.
- Sofia: 16 minor incidents with no fatalities or injuries.
- Monthly statistics: 95 serious accidents, 116 injured and 11 dead.
It is notable that the number of deaths since the beginning of 2025 is significantly higher compared to last year, when 121 fatalities were recorded. The difference of 17 people indicates a negative trend in road safety.
