A joint initiative by the "I Want a Baby" Foundation and the Municipality of Tsarevo is offering new hope for couples facing reproductive difficulties. Free examinations and consultations will be conducted at the reproductive health office that opened today in the Medical Center – Tsarevo. This new service is part of a broader strategy to support families and address demographic challenges in the region.
Preventative role and early prevention
The "I Want a Baby" Foundation announced that the office will also have an important preventative role, working on programs aimed at young people of reproductive age. The goal is to provide early prevention and information, which are of key importance for future reproductive health.
The realization of this important project is the result of the efforts of Marin Kirov, Mayor of the Municipality of Tsarevo, and Dr. Rafail Elevterov, manager of the Municipal Medical Center. The opening of the office was accompanied by free consultations for couples with reproductive problems from Tsarevo and the surrounding areas, provided by a visiting team of specialists from a Sofia clinic.
The work of the office will be under constant coordination. Marina Marinova, coordinator of "I Want a Baby" in Tsarevo, will announce the monthly schedule and the team of reproductive medicine specialists who will be seeing couples. This guarantees continuous access to expert help and consultation for those in need.
The opening of the office in Tsarevo comes against the backdrop of the "I Want a Baby" Foundation's broader effort for systemic changes at a national level. In late May, the organization made an official appeal for the creation of a National Program for Sexual and Reproductive Health. It has already officially submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Health, with the hope of support and implementation of such a long-term policy that would have a significant effect on the health and well-being of the Bulgarian population.
