A real baby boom at the Burgas Zoo. Two mothers with a tiny baby, barely around 30 grams, on their backs. An amazing creation of nature.

Geoffroy's marmosets are some of the smallest monkeys in the world. Adults weigh only 200-300 grams, and newborns are so small that they can easily fit in a human hand.

In the first few weeks, the little ones spend almost all their time clinging to their mother's fur, who carries them on her back everywhere, the zoo announced.

Interestingly, the fathers are actively involved in raising the babies, as well as other members of the group - they often take the little ones to give the mother a break.

This is one of the reasons why these social and extremely curious primates are doing so well in nature. Geoffroy's marmosets inhabit Central and South America, feeding on fruits, insects, nectar, and even tree sap.

And the new little ones are already causing genuine delight - they are so miniature that sometimes one has to look closely to notice them on their mothers' backs.

We remind you that a new sweet baby is delighting visitors to the zoo. A beautiful baby was born in the family of the canna antelopes. The little one is already confidently standing next to its mother and curiously exploring the world around it.

The zoo is open every day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
