Regional road experts implemented a large-scale project to improve transport safety in Kyustendil region. The intervention covers three strategic road routes to limit speed and prevent potential traffic accidents.
The specific technical solutions include laying specialized noisy markings on key sections. On second-class road II-62 in the Kyustendil - Klisura section, the marking has been renewed on a 190-meter segment at kilometer 36 within the urban boundaries of Dupnitsa, with a reduction of the maximum speed to 30 kilometers per hour.
Additional interventions have been carried out on third-class road III-6232, connecting Mlamolovo and Dupnitsa. In Dyakovo village, transverse noisy strips have been installed at both entrances to the settlement, which will force drivers to reduce their speed.
The third zone with improved road safety is route III-601 between Kyustendil and Border Checkpoint "Oltomantsi". The noisy marking is positioned before the intersection with first-class road I-6 at the outgoing direction of Kyustendil towards Dragovishitsa.
The initiative aims to drastically reduce risk factors and create a safer road environment for traffic participants.
