Repair activities on the national road network
In the coming week, the Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) is launching a series of short-term repairs in the Kyustendil region. Drivers should prepare for temporary traffic organization and observe road signs.
Drive carefully and follow the instructions of the road crews for your safety.
Main sections with restrictions:
- Struma Motorway: On August 17 and 18 (07:00 – 16:30), manholes and ditches will be cleaned between the 37th and 56th km. Traffic will be carried out only in the active lane.
- Road I-1 (Dupnitsa area): From August 17 to 21 (06:00 – 17:00), the pavement will be patched from the 331st to the 333rd km.
- Road I-1 (Sofia – Blagoevgrad): The laying of road markings continues in the 313–356 km section.
- Road I-6 (Gyueshevo – Kyustendil – Sofia): Pavement patching from 0 to 42 km (August 17–21).
- Road II-62 (Samokov – Dupnitsa): Repair activities from 0 to 29 km (August 17–21, 06:00 – 17:00).
The RIA urges drivers not to undertake risky overtaking and to drive with increased caution in the work areas.
