New measures for a successful tourist season
A specialized reform unit is being established within the National Tourism Council, which will work in direct cooperation with the business sector. The initiative aims to optimize processes without expanding the administration, announced Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov.
"Preparations for the summer season are going well, and the infrastructure is in good condition following large-scale road repairs," emphasized Dimitrov.
Key highlights:
- Interactive map: Tourists will be able to monitor the current quality of seawater in real time.
- Visa regime: An urgent meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is upcoming to accelerate the processing of documents for seasonal workers from third countries.
- Safety: By August 8th, the new regulation for attractions will be ready, followed by strict controls.
- Infrastructure: Discussions are planned with the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) to limit roadworks during the peak season and to repair the Dyulinski Pass.
Regarding forecasts for the summer, the minister expects a flow similar to last year's, emphasizing that there is no data indicating mass vacation cancellations despite the international situation.
