GERB and "DPS-New Beginning" confirmed their commitment to adhering to the agreed legislative and governance program, which aims to ensure stability and consistency, protecting the interests of citizens and the state. This was announced in a joint statement published on the profiles of the two formations on the social network Facebook.
In the same statement, the two parties declared their support for a full term of government, which will allow the fulfillment of the commitments made, especially regarding the Euro-Atlantic orientation of Bulgaria.
"DPS-New Beginning" assured that it will continue to support the mandate holder and coalition partners for achieving a full term of the government. The parliamentary groups of the two formations united around the decision not to change the current form of support, the two political forces noted.
From "DPS-New Beginning" they emphasized that they will not participate in the executive branch, nor will they hold leadership positions in the parliamentary committees.
Yesterday, during a meeting of the Joint Governance Council (JGC), representatives of GERB and "There Is Such a People" (ITN) raised the issue of a rotational presidency of the National Assembly. At the beginning of the week, the leader of "DPS-New Beginning" Delyan Peevski confirmed his position for full support of the government in a conversation with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
