New rules for investment schemes
The Parliament adopted a work program, focusing on the second reading of amendments to the Law on the Activities of Collective Investment Schemes. The goal is an adaptation to European directives, which will facilitate the access of small and medium-sized enterprises to capital.
The changes provide for a reduction of the administrative burden for investment intermediaries and the optimization of the powers between the FSC and the BNB.
Changes to the Electoral Code
The deputies are planning a second reading of the changes to the Electoral Code, which include the following key points:
- Removal of the 20-polling station limit for countries outside the EU;
- Elimination of the "Abroad" administrative district;
- Introduction of full machine voting (except for sections with fewer than 300 voters);
- Ban on the announcement of exit poll data until 8:00 PM on election day.
The Chairman of the "Progressive Bulgaria" Parliamentary Group, Petar Vitanov, emphasized the ambition for the legislative changes to be finalized before the end of the current parliamentary session.
