Outgoing Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev condemned the attack in Sydney, in which at least 12 people died: "This horrific act of violence against the Jewish community must be unequivocally condemned."
Georgiev added that he was "deeply shocked by the shocking footage of the shooting during the Hanukkah celebrations on Bondi Beach in Australia." He expressed condolences to those affected and their families.
According to Reuters, citing Australian authorities, at least 12 people died and 30 were injured in the shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney. The shooting was opened during an event to mark the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that there is no data on injured or affected Bulgarian citizens.
