Fatal Accident Claims the Life of a Czech Citizen in Tsarevo
TSAREVO – A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 54-year-old Czech citizen in the resort town of Tsarevo, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told BTA. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM on Saturday, in the area of the picturesque isthmus that connects the new and old parts of the city.
According to information from the police, the man was riding a scooter when the collision occurred. Preliminary data suggests that he was not wearing a protective helmet, which likely contributed to the severe consequences of the impact. The scooter collided with a "Mercedes" passenger car with a Sofia license plate, which was moving lawfully. The car was driven by a 45-year-old man.
Police and emergency teams quickly arrived at the scene of the incident. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the motorcyclist died on the spot from the severe injuries he sustained. As part of the investigation, the driver of the car was tested for alcohol and drug use, and both tests came back negative.
The scene of the accident, located on one of the busiest stretches in Tsarevo, attracted dozens of people. The atmosphere was filled with tension and sadness as the police conducted an inspection and regulated traffic. The investigation into the case is ongoing under the supervision of the prosecution to clarify all the details that led to the fatal collision. This incident once again raises the question of the importance of following traffic rules and using protective equipment, especially for motorcyclists.
