A large-scale environmental initiative revived the fish population in one of the most popular fishing spots in Southeast Bulgaria. The volunteer team of the "Sea Friends - Burgas" association carried out a planned intervention to restock Mandra Lake.
Specialists from the organization purchased over five thousand young carp from a professional breeding farm, which were carefully transported and released into the lake's waters. The operation was conducted under the strict control of the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture.
Expert representatives of the state agency observed the entire process, ensuring full compliance with established regulatory requirements for restocking activities.
The main goal of the initiative is to improve fish stocks and create more favorable conditions for fishermen in the Burgas region. Local anglers who accidentally witnessed the event expressed optimism about future fishing prospects in the lake.
The initiative is another proof of the systematic efforts of the environmental community to maintain ecological balance and support amateur fishermen.
