Revolution in sea rescue: Tsarevo with the first remote-controlled buoy
The Municipality of Tsarevo is taking a decisive step towards improving beach safety. The local administration has announced the acquisition of a remote-controlled rescue buoy designed to assist in sea rescue operations.
The equipment was acquired as part of a large-scale project for disaster and emergency prevention in the Burgas region.
This innovative device allows for quick and safe reach to a person in distress, even in complex weather conditions. Here are the main advantages of the technology:
- Minimizing risk: Eliminates the need for a lifeguard to enter the water directly in dangerous situations.
- Speed: Remote control allows reaching the drowning person in seconds.
- Efficiency: Once it reaches the victim, the buoy pulls them to a safe zone or the shore.
The Municipality of Tsarevo is the first public institution in Bulgaria to implement this type of device. Similar aid tools are already being used successfully at the "Butamyata" beach near Sinemorets and at the beach in Sunny Beach.
Upcoming demonstration
A demonstration will be organized soon to show live how the new equipment works. The municipal leadership, volunteers, and teams from "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" will take part in the rescue operation.
