The Consumer Protection Commission received an official notification from "Decathlon Bulgaria" EOOD regarding serious technical inconsistencies in two different items that pose a direct threat to end consumers.
The first problematic product is the life jacket model LJ150N + trapeze in gray-black color with catalog number 4855900. Independent tests revealed critical deviations from international safety standards, including non-compliance with ISO-12402.
The expert assessment shows that under multiple mechanical impacts, the vest's internal chamber may experience destruction, which creates a direct drowning risk for users. This technical defect represents an extremely serious threat to consumers' lives.
The second high-risk product is the TARMAK B900 BOX NBA basketball hoop with code 8618940. Under specific usage conditions, there is a danger that the hoop's pole may fall vertically if the red adjusting crank is removed during play or manipulation.
In both cases, the retail chain is taking voluntary measures to prevent potential incidents by informing consumers about the identified risks.
