Dangerous incidents involving electric scooters
In recent days, two incidents involving electric scooter riders were reported, serving as a reminder of the need for increased caution on the road.
Incidents with scooters are becoming more frequent, especially among young people, calling for stricter adherence to traffic rules.
The case in the Burgas region
A 14-year-old girl was injured after falling from a scooter in the village of Ruen. The incident occurred on May 15 on "Drava" St. No. 8. According to police, the cause of the overturning was driving at an inappropriate speed. Fortunately, after a medical examination, the girl was released for home treatment.
Incident in Stara Zagora
In parallel, a 15-year-old boy was injured in an accident with an electric scooter in Stara Zagora. These cases highlight the need for:
- Use of protective equipment (helmets and pads);
- Adherence to speed limits;
- Increased caution when moving on road infrastructure;
- Responsible behavior by minor riders.
Road safety depends both on the technical condition of the scooters and on the conscious driving of the riders.
