With the blessing of His Eminence Arseny, Metropolitan of Sliven, for the second consecutive year, spiritual talks are being organized during the five Sundays of Great Lent.
The talk for the third Sunday of Great Lent (Veneration of the Cross) will take place on Saturday /March 14/ at 5:00 PM in the Cathedral Church “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” - Burgas.
The lecturer for the talk on “Veneration of the Cross Sunday” will be Mr. Aristidis Spandonis.
Mr. Aristidis Spandonis is a theologian, hymnographer, and church singer. He graduated in theology in Thessaloniki and specialized at the Patriarchal Orthodox Institute in Geneva. He has taught at the theological seminary of Mount Athos - Athos (Athoniada) and at the theological seminary in Kilkis. He is the author of several liturgical services for contemporary saints, including the service for St. Tikhon of the Holy Mountain, the spiritual father of St. Paisios of Mount Athos. He has published numerous articles dedicated to Orthodox spirituality.
