The Ministry of Economy has announced an epoch-making project that will change the state's migration policy. From July 2025, Bulgaria is launching a unique visa program aimed at digital professionals from around the world who can perform their work duties remotely.
The innovative scheme aims to attract high-tech specialists who could contribute to the country's economic revival. The new visa provides unprecedented opportunities for international talents to choose Bulgaria as their workspace while simultaneously stimulating the domestic labor market.
The key characteristic of the program is its exceptional flexibility in residence conditions. Foreign workers will be able to take advantage of a simplified administrative procedure that allows them to develop their professional activities without traditional bureaucratic obstacles.
Experts predict that the initiative will attract a significant number of qualified specialists from various fields - information technology, design, marketing, consulting services, and other activities that do not require physical presence in the workplace.
Economic analysts emphasize that such an approach can generate a multiplier effect. Besides direct financial revenues, the country will gain access to international networks, innovative ideas, and potential for knowledge and technology transfer.
