The national campaign for digitalization of health services is achieving impressive results, with nearly 6,000 people gaining direct access to their own medical data through innovative mobile solutions in just two weeks.

The Ministry of Health is undertaking a large-scale strategic initiative to expand electronic healthcare, which is quickly gaining popularity among Bulgarian citizens. Mobile information teams from regional health inspectorates (RHI) are conducting a comprehensive awareness campaign in various regions of the country.

Statistics show an extremely high interest in the new system - in a short period of two weeks, nearly 6,000 people have registered and gained full access to their personal medical files directly through their smartphones. Specialized teams are setting up mobile information points in strategic locations in towns and villages.

The goal of the initiative is to maximize convenience for patients in managing health information. Citizens can view test results, prescriptions, referrals, and other personal medical documentation entirely remotely and without additional administrative procedures.

The upcoming week will include an expanded geographical network of mobile points that will cover an even wider spectrum of populated areas. Experts from the health ministry expect the number of registered users to continue growing in parallel with the increase in digital literacy.

The innovative approach aims not only for technological renewal but also a significant change in communication between patients and health institutions. Electronic health files represent a substantial step towards modernization of the Bulgarian healthcare system.
