From today, the Central Election Commission (CEC) begins accepting documents for the registration of parties and coalitions to participate in the elections for Members of Parliament, scheduled for April 19, 2026, the commission announces on its website.
The acceptance of documents will take place every day from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the building of the National Assembly, 1 Knyaz Alexander I Square, in the foyer, entrance “Largo”.
The deadline for submitting an application for registration to the CEC for parties and coalitions is until 5:00 p.m. on March 4, 2026, and is carried out in accordance with Decision No. 4438-NS of February 19, 2026.
A list containing the names, the unified civil number, and a handwritten signature of no less than 2,500 voters supporting the registration is also presented with the application for registration for the elections. By March 7, the General Directorate “Civil Registration and Administrative Service” (GRAS) at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works checks the signatures submitted by the parties and coalitions.
The parties and coalitions deposit an interest-free deposit for participation in the elections in the amount of 1278.23 euros. The CEC's bank account in the Bulgarian National Bank, to which the deposits are to be paid, is also published on the CEC's website.
On February 19, the CEC adopted a schedule for the elections for Members of Parliament on April 19 of this year, the commission announced. According to the schedule, by March 4, the CEC must determine the conditions and procedures for conducting the pre-election campaign, which will begin at 00:00 on March 20.
