The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the end of the election day for the early parliamentary elections, in which Bulgarian citizens voted for the composition of the 52nd National Assembly, at its meeting, broadcast online.
The election day in the country started normally, the chairperson of the CEC, Kamelia Neykova, announced at a briefing in the morning.
At 4:00 PM, the voter turnout for the country is 34.63%, announced the deputy chairman and spokesperson of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva, at a briefing. In the previous early parliamentary elections on October 27, 2024, the voter turnout at 4:00 PM was 26.25%. So the voter turnout now is 9% higher, she added.
A total of 6,575,151 had the right to vote, and 24 political formations - 14 parties and 10 coalitions, as well as one independent candidate, were registered for the elections, 113,224 people have applied to vote at their current address, and voters aged between 18 and 35 years are 1,445,978.
