Parliament accepts the resignation of Delyan Dobrev
The National Assembly has terminated the powers of GERB-SDS Member of Parliament Delyan Dobrev. The decision was made with an overwhelming majority of 187 votes "in favor," four deputies voted "against," and one abstained.
"The moment comes when we, who have been in politics for 20 years, must step back and make room for the young," said Dobrev.
Motivations for the decision
The resignation, submitted on June 22, follows a meeting with representatives of the GERB youth academy. Delyan Dobrev emphasized that his personal motivation is linked to his desire to make way for young personnel in the party.
