A budget has been proposed that defines the course of energy in the coming year, laying the foundations for important state policies. This became clear during the debates in the relevant parliamentary committee, where the draft state budget for the next year of the Ministry of Energy (ME) was discussed. The Minister of Energy, Zhecho Stankov, emphasized the key role of the budget, which enables the ministry and, accordingly, the executive branch to implement their energy strategies.

At the heart of these policies are the strategic goals of Bulgaria as a member state of the European Union. Tension was felt in the committee room as the MPs examined the financial parameters that will determine the development of the sector.

One of the main focuses is the financing of a program that the Ministry of Energy is implementing with the aim of sustainable and competitive energy development. An impressive 36 million euros are provided for this program. Minister Stankov emphasized the importance of these funds for achieving the set goals. In addition, the expenses for the "Administration" program, which exceed 4 million euros, were also considered, according to the minister.

After lively discussions and consideration of the various aspects of the budget, the energy committee made a decision. The budget for the next year was approved on first reading. The vote showed a division, with 9 MPs supporting the proposal, 5 opposed, and 3 preferred to abstain.
