A large-scale information hub for refugees and migrants has been launched in the Black Sea city of Burgas, as reported by the International Organization for Migration. The newly created "Migrant Information Centre" will provide multi-functional support to people seeking asylum and social integration in Bulgaria.
The project, launched in June 2025, aims to serve over 3,000 users monthly. Specialized services include legal counseling, health information, language training, professional orientation, and volunteer opportunities.
The regional strategy provides for active partnership with local non-governmental organizations and institutions. IOM experts emphasize that the center is a targeted response to migration challenges in the Southern Black Sea region.
The official opening was met with increased interest from local administration and international partners. The center's full-scale work officially starts in July 2025, and it is expected to support the social adaptation of migrant communities.
