Record interest in "eHealth"
In just two weeks, over 14,000 Bulgarian citizens successfully activated the "eHealth" application. The initiative, organized by the NHIF and the Ministry of Health, aims to facilitate access to patients' personal health information.
The figures speak for themselves – for the period from July 29 to August 12, nearly 9,200 devices were paired, which is a fourfold increase compared to previous periods.
What does the "eHealth" application provide?
The application is a powerful tool for transparency and control. Through it, every citizen can check:
- Performed medical examinations and tests;
- Issued electronic referrals and prescriptions;
- History of hospital stays;
- General report of medical activities charged in your name.
Why is it important to activate your record?
The main advantage is the possibility for public oversight. If you identify a discrepancy between the reported services and those actually received, you can immediately file a report with the NHIF. Additionally, parents can track the health records of their minor children.
How to pair your device?
A qualified electronic signature is not required. You can receive assistance from the teams at the Regional Health Inspectorates (RHI) and the Regional Health Insurance Funds (RHIF) in all districts of the country. A list of locations is available on the official website of the NHIF.
